Margherita Pizza

A classic Margherita pizza with a thin and crispy crust, topped with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil leaves. It's simple yet incredibly delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 1-2 tomatoes, sliced

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C


Roll out the pizza dough into a circle on a floured surface


Place the dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet


Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border for the crust


Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce


Arrange tomato slices on top of the cheese


Season with salt and pepper to taste


Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the pizza


Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned


Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves


Slice and serve hot
